What effect will Brexit and uncertain exchange rates have on the RDF Market?

With Brexit still in the negotiation stage, there are many people across the waste sector who still see a perceived risk to the RDF industry. Brexit, along with uncertain exchange rates and other factors are on all our minds, which is why Mark Terrell, General Manager at Andusia, decided to tackle these issues at the annual industry event, Energy from Waste Conference in London.

The main issue with Brexit is that until the final terms are agreed we are unaware of the full implications it may have on the RDF export market. Andusia and EEW Neunkirchen

Andusia Recovered Fuels is pleased to announce that it has secured a 5 year contract with EEW’s Neunkirchen plant in Germany.

EEW is Germany’s leading company in generating environmentally friendly energy from waste, with 18 state of the art plants. EEW recover approximately 4.7 million tonnes of waste each year with the objective to reduce, if not eliminate, landfill across Europe. The energy from waste plant (AHKW), built originally in the 1970s and totally overhauled between 1996 and 2001, is ope- rated by EEW Energy from Waste Saarbrücken GmbH. The Neunkirchen energy from waste plant generates around 74,000 megawatt hours of power and 21,000 megawatt hours of district heat every year. Andusia and EEW Stapelfeld

Andusia Recovered Fuels is pleased to announce that it has secured a 5 year contract with EEW’s Stapelfeld plant in Germany.

EEW is Germany’s leading company in generating environmentally friendly energy from waste, with 18 state of the art plants. EEW recover approximately 4.7 million tonnes of waste each year with the objective to reduce, if not eliminate, landfill across Europe. The community of Stapelfeld belongs to the Hamburg metropolitan region and the plant has been operational since 1979. Each year the plant recovers approximately 350,000 tonnes of waste and today offers energy to nearly a million people in the greater Hamburg area.Read More »Andusia and EEW Stapelfeld

Andusia Celebrates 6th Anniversary

Andusia Recovered Fuels is proud to announce that on 21st February 2018 it is celebrating the company’s 6th Anniversary of RDF waste exports across Europe.

Since Andusia’s launch in 2012, the company has grown to be one of the UK’s largest independent exporters of RDF across Europe, celebrating many milestones over the years. 2016 saw Andusia collect its 750,000th tonne, 900,000th tonne in 2017, and most recently 1 millionth tonne. Read More »Andusia Celebrates 6th Anniversary
