We are Hiring – Logistics Administrator

Company & Purpose of Role

Founded in 2012, Andusia has quickly become a market leader in the growing waste export market, exporting approximately 250,000 tonnes of waste per annum. Due to continual growth and a leaver, we are looking to add another hard working and ambitious individual to join the team.

The purpose of the role is to support the Operations team with daily administrative tasks to support the needs of the business communicating via telephone and email with both logistics suppliers and customers.

Andusia sign RDF supply contract with Cartwrights

Andusia is happy to announce the addition of a new RDF supply partner, Shropshire based, Cartwrights Waste Disposal Ltd.

Cartwrights Waste Disposal has specialised in the delivery of integrated waste management solutions and skip hire for over 35 years. Since 2013, the business has been a ‘Zero 2 Landfill’ company, recovering 12 types of waste that can be resued, with any waste that cannot be reused sent for incineration as RDF.

Mark Terrell Speaking at EfW Conference

Andusia are delighted to announce that Director, Mark Terrell, will be speaking at SAE Media Group’s Energy from Waste Conference next month. The waste conference will take place on 5th-6th December at Copthorne Tara Hotel, Kensington, London.

Mark’s presentation, entitled ‘EfW in the UK – enough already?’, will explore the current UK EfW market, RDF export and the future of the industry. He’ll also take a closer look at the Newport plant due open in 2024, for which Andusia are the sole supplier.

Why not Bale and Wrap?

The UK Government’s tax on landfill increases year on year – 2023 will be no different, in fact due to inflation hitting a 40-year high, we’ll see a huge jump. Next April, landfill tax will increase in line with the Retail Price Index, which could see an increase of as much as £10 per tonne. Putting landfill tax in the hundreds for the first time.

With current landfill tax standing at £98.60 per tonne, then taking site gate fees and transport into consideration – we can all agree that landfill is an extremely unattractive prospect for those in the waste management industry.
