Andusia predicts record year for RDF exports

Andusia is delighted to report that 2024 is already shaping up to be a record year as it forecasts that refuse-derived fuel (RDF) exports are set to double for the company over a 24-month period.

Latest projections show that Andusia is on track to export 450,000 tonnes of RDF in 2024 – this would represent an increase of over 100% compared to 2022 where it handled around 210,000 tonnes.

PAAL baler benefits RDF production at Chambers

Across the UK and Europe, waste is always on the move – especially when it comes to the export of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF). At Andusia, we collect RDF from our customers every day, come rain or shine, and it’s important that these logistics operate smoothly.

Recently one of our customers, Chambers Waste Management, invested in a new baler from Kadant PAAL to improve the efficiency of RDF production at their site in Guildford. Chambers were looking to replace their existing channel baler, which used plastic wire for processing RDF, with a more cost-effective solution that could offer greater reliability and higher throughput.
