Is the RDF Market really beginning to slow? Following an article on LetsRecycle. com claiming that the RDF export market is beginning to slow, Andusia Recovered Fuel Ltd also announce that they have now collected their 35,000th load of RDF and to date have exported over 900,000 tonnes of waste to Europe for recovery – business seems to be as busy as ever. Andusia End the Year with Two New EEW Contracts

Andusia Recovered Fuels Ltd is pleased to announce that they are ending 2017 with two new confirmed supply contracts.

Andusia have successfully negotiated two long term contracts for EEW in Stapelfeld and Schwedt, both for a period of 5 years starting in February 2018.

EEW is Germany’s leading company in generating environmentally friendly energy from waste, with 18 state of the art plants. EEW recover approximately 4.7 million tonnes of waste each year with the objective to reduce, if not eliminate, landfill across Europe. Andusia on Brexit and the RDF Market

With Brexit trade agreements still in negotiation, last week The House of Lords’ EU and Environment sub-committee chairman, Lord Teverson, wrote to the Defra Minister, Theresa Coffey, requesting clarity over the post-Brexit arrangements for waste and recycling.

The UK Government have published its plans for Brexit and have outlined its intention to transfer the current environmental EU regulations into UK law.  However, depending on the deal that is reached, Brexit has the potential to damage the RDF export market.

Teverson detailed the committee’s main concern that if it becomes more difficult, and therefore expensive, to export waste across Europe then this could result in more waste ending up in UK landfill, being illegally dumped or alternatively ending up in non-EU countries where the waste may not be used as efficiently.Read More »Andusia on Brexit and the RDF Market
