Andusia are pleased to report that their success from bulk shipping is continuing throughout the Summer months. In fact we’ve moved 6 vessels in 6 weeks. The vessels combined have moved over 17,000 tonnes of RDF, SRF and wood to the likes of Sweden, Germany, Finland and Denmark.
Andusia’s core business of waste export has always been a sustainable one. From disposing of waste destined for UK landfill, using backhaul transport that would otherwise be empty, to generating electricity and heat. It is a win-win for both the environment and communities alike.
Inflation is on the increase with food, fuel and energy prices hitting record highs. In fact, UK inflation has hit a 40-year high with the Bank of England warning it could reach up to 11% by the end of the year.
Not only does this grim news impact individuals cost of living and household finances but businesses too… The waste industry is not excluded from this.
Back in April, Andusia announced they had stepped into the wood export market, signing a 20,000 tonne contract with Enva Wood Recycling Ltd.
Last week, Andusia’s first wood vessel was discharged at Papenburg Port, Germany. The bulk shipment held 2,500 tonnes of wood waste, which will be used to produce steam and energy for a paper production plant.

This month, the Andusia team travelled to Munich to visit IFAT 2022. We had a fantastic couple of days at the show. It was great to reconnect with existing clients and meet new faces.
