The Resilience of the Waste Industry

After a tumultuous 12 months the end is almost in sight. Under the UK Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, from 21st June, England will return to something close to normal. Andusia take a look back at the past years events on waste management for what has proven to be a resilient industry and the future of RDF export.

As reported in data published by the Environment Agency, RDF exports fell by 37% in 2020 compared to the previous year. Several influences last year undoubtedly impacted these export levels, such as Dutch tax, but the significant factor was most certainly the coronavirus pandemic.

Andusia Sign Clinical Waste Contract with Novus Environmental

Andusia Hazchem Treatment is delighted to announce they have signed a further, additional contract with Novus Environmental for supply of clinical waste to new waste treatment plant in Malvern.

Further extending the existing relationship between the two companies, the collaboration will see clinical waste, including Covid related waste, being treated at the Worcestershire based plant.

Andusia Sign Clinical Waste Contract with phs Group

Andusia Hazchem Treatment has signed a contract with the UK’s leading facilities services provider, phs Group, for the supply of clinical waste disposal at the new Malvern waste treatment plant, where Andusia is the sole supplier.

The plant, which has been developed in an existing, retired plant, is the first of its kind to be built in the UK in the last decade and will become operational this month after experiencing construction delays due to Covid-19.

Andusia Celebrates 9 Years

This month, Andusia are proud to be celebrating their 9th anniversary.

Since Andusia’s launch in 2012, the company quickly established themselves as the UK’s largest independent exporter of RDF waste across Europe. Nine years on and Andusia have extended their expertise and expanded into other areas of the waste industry – both in Europe and closer to home here in the UK.
